We’d like you to meet some of the amazing women around the world who are hosting Women’s Global Happiness Day events!
I come from a small suburban village in the northeast of Thailand. My father died when I was young, and after that, I was raised by my mother and her family's side. I have so many opportunities in my life because my mother worked really hard to support me, and my grandmother and my aunt had taken their time to look after me and teach me to never give up or let anyone else determine my place in the world. When I look back at my path, I feel inspired and deeply grateful for the incredible women I have in my life. I signed up to facilitate a Women's Global Happiness Day event to celebrate their courage and wisdom and to connect with other women who also have amazing stories to share. Women are so strong, loving, and nourishing. We deserve to play, to celebrate, and to be held.
Location and Date: West Village, NY, 10/18/2018 6:00 pmWhat inspired me to host an event:
I grew up around lovely women including my mother, aunts, teachers, cousins, and friends. I noticed how much they gave and gave and expected nothing in return. Many times they faced obstacles and life transitions but did not have the resources and tools to bounce back with strength. Most importantly, many of them did not know how to live happily or even believed that they deserved to be happy!
This event is a tribute to all these amazing women I have met in my journey and an invitation to the incredible women of today ... to thrive!
Location and Date: Dubai - Illuminations Wellbeing Center - 19th of October - 10 am Dubai time
A little bit about me:
I am a psychology graduate, a positive psychology practitioner, and a confidence life coach. I empower women to step into their best self with resilience, confidence, and joy.
Many women that I see daily are often questioning if they are "doing it right", comparing themselves to others, doubting their intuition, and forgetting the power of their feminine energy. In a time in which doing is more valued than being, I witness lots of women who find it difficult to accept themselves when they are just being. I feel incredibly inspired to support every woman to embrace exactly who she is, her whole self, so that we can reconnect with the value, power, and beauty of our femininity. Our greatest ideas are born when we connect back to our presence, our joy, and our hearts. As the founder and owner of Intu It Parenting and Wellness, I enjoy empowering mothers to honor themselves, care for themselves, and take time for themselves, not because they have earned it, but because they simply ARE. And we know that when we listen to ourselves, we can give from a full heart.
Location and Date: Intu It Parenting and Wellness, the office of Christina Carter in downtown Covington (323 E. Kirkland St., Covington, LA 70433) Thursday, October 18th, 2018 6-8 PM

This is why I am joining an amazing team of women around the world to host the Women's Global Happiness Day in Lagos Nigeria.
For too long women have sort happiness outside of ourselves, losing our authenticity and becoming less and less happier. The data on women's depression is challenging. Research shows that women are twice more likely to suffer depression than men. Yet our OPPORTUNITY to influence due to our divers role is expansive and the power to rise above depression is within us if we KNOW HOW.

“I volunteered to host an event for Women's Global Happiness Day because I think women are amazing! Women have more resources, money and opportunities than we ever had. But we have more pressure to do it all and be it all. We live in a culture steeped in not enough. Not thin enough, not pretty enough, not smart enough. We don't DO enough. I am beyond grateful to be able to share the science of happiness and well-being with fellow sisters, because we deserve it. It is important for us to put on our oxygen masks on first. To have the tools and resources to make ourselves happy and lead the lives we were born to.”
I am Celine Sugay and I am a Registered Psychologist and a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach.
Carin, the founder of Women's Global Happiness Day (WGHD), is my teacher in my Positive Psychology certification course. I also immediately said yes to Carin when she asked if we wanted to host WGHD in our own cities.
I believe that every woman has the right to discover her own talents and strengths, be proud of who she is, embrace her own uniqueness, and be able to love herself.
I am honored to be leading the WGHD in Manila, Philippines. I am excited to have the opportunity to help women have a safe space to talk about depression, learn about the science of happiness, and empower women through positive psychology.
